The Orient building is located in the heart of the historical city of Beirut. This project showcases the preservation of heritage buildings and its connection to modern architecture. The execution of this project comprises the demolition of the existing L’Orient Building while preserving its south façade, which will be connected to a newly constructed structure. Our scope includes the shoring, dewatering and excavation works; the preservation of the south façade shall be ensured by a well-designed steel structure; the construction of the new structure is composed of two basements, a ground floor with mezzanines, and four upper floors. The total built-up area is is approximately 6,500 m².
